What I'm Liking Lately 4.20.24 cover image of the northern lights faintly shining through trees.

Happy Saturday! I got a tiny peek at the northern lights earlier this week. They were definitely weak and the moonlight made it a bit more difficult to capture them, but I managed to snap the above picture on my iPhone really quickly.

Anyway, let’s get into some of my favorites from this week.

Here's what I've been liking lately...

1. Dave's Coffee Syrup

Dave’s All Natural Cold Brewed Coffee Syrup (shop on Amazon) is absolutely AMAZING. It was originally created to make coffee milk, a popular Rhode Island beverage. Out of curiosity, I tried making coffee milk with this syrup and it basically tastes like a really yummy, sweet iced coffee.

However, my all-time favorite way to use Dave’s syrup is to drizzle it on ice cream- yum! If you or someone you know is a coffee lover, I highly suggest this syrup as a fun topper for desserts or to add to drinks.

2. Native Body Wash

Sea Salt & Cedar and Sweet Peach & Nectar Native Body Wash

I am a big fan of Native’s products, especially their body washes. I tried the Sea Salt & Cedar scent (shop on Amazon) for the first time this week and really liked it. It smells very fresh and clean to me.

Some of my longstanding favorites from the brand are the Sweet Peach & Nectar and Coconut & Vanilla (shop on Amazon) body washes. I also really love their deodorant and some of their shampoos and conditioners.

3. The Tortured Poets Department- The Anthology by Taylor Swift

In case you somehow missed it, Taylor Swift dropped her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, at midnight on Friday. Then at 2 am ET, she revealed that it is actually a double album and dropped The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.

The double album includes an additional 15 songs, for a total of 31 songs. Just to recap- in this past year, Taylor has headlined the highest-grossing tour ever, released two re-recordings of previous albums, won two Grammys, recorded and released The Eras Tour movie, and released a brand new double album. She also squeezed in some of Travis’ NFL games in there as well. Talk about being productive!

So far I really like the new album. I have a few favorite songs, but feel like I need more time to digest the entire thing (31 songs is a lot!). To me, the entire musical feel of the album is like if Midnights and Evermore had a baby. I like both of those albums, so that’s a win in my book.
