IT Cosmetics, founded in 2008 by Jamie Kern Lima, is known for its high-coverage, skincare-based makeup products. I, like many others, am a huge fan of the brand and have been using its products for over a decade. In fact, some of the very first products I used when I started wearing makeup were from IT Cosmetics.
Years later, I still use a lot of IT Cosmetics products in my daily makeup routine- they’re just that good. From complexion products to eye makeup to brushes, here are 8 of my tried-and-true favorites from IT Cosmetics that have a permanent spot in my makeup bag.
My Favorite IT Cosmetics Products:
1. Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream
This is my absolute favorite foundation ever, and the one that I have been using daily for over 6 years. The Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream provides medium to high buildable coverage without feeling heavy on the skin. It has a natural finish, doesn’t break me out, and includes SPF.
IT Cosmetics offers three versions of their iconic CC Cream- the original version (natural finish), the Illumination version (glowy/dewy finish), and the Natural Matte version (matte finish). I use and love both the original and Illumination formulas, but the matte would likely work for you if you have oily skin.

2. Superhero Mascara
I have been using this mascara for a long time, ever since they launched the product in 2016. I love that it gives my lashes both volume and length. The formula is also very pigmented, coating lashes with a true black color that doesn’t flake.
I prefer their regular formula, but IT Cosmetics also offers a waterproof version of the Superhero Mascara.

3. Makeup Brushes
Whether you are using them to apply products from IT Cosmetics products or other brands, IT Cosmetics makeup brushes are really, really good. Every brush I’ve used from the brand is soft, high quality, and blends products beautifully on the skin. No need to worry about streaking or harsh lines when using these brushes. Plus they last forever- I have had some of my IT brushes for 8+ years.
If you’re new to their brushes, I would recommend starting out with either a foundation or concealer brush. They are my #1 go-to for blending out cream products. I also love IT’s slanted Boutique Blush Brush #4 and their Wand Ball Powder Brush. To be honest, you really can’t go wrong with any of them.

4. Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Lip Balm Treatment
This tinted balm is probably my most-used lip product ever. It is very, very moisturizing but also leaves a pretty tint that you can wear alone or top with a gloss. I love all three shades of the product, but my most worn is probably the Honey version.

5. Brow Power Pencil
IT Cosmetics brow pencils have had a place in my makeup bag for years and years- because they’re just that good. They are easy to use, blendable, and last all day. I use both the original and the newer PowerFULL version, which offers a thicker, tapered pencil.

6. Translucent Setting Powder
This powder sets liquid and cream products really well, doesn’t look patchy, and mattifies any oily areas on your face. There’s also a loose setting powder available from the brand, but I have always preferred the pressed version.

7. Superhero Liquid Eyeliner
This felt-tip liner pen allows me to get a super black, very precise winged eyeliner. Plus it stays in place until you remove it- no fading or smudging with this waterproof liner.

8. Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer
Ironically, I don’t use this concealer very often under my eyes, but I LOVE using it to cover any spots or acne marks on my face. It’s a very thick, tacky formula that provides very high coverage to any areas you apply it.

Clearly, I love IT Cosmetics.
