The Best NO Chemical Cleaning Cloth That Actually Works

I know it’s kind of hard to get excited over something you’re going to use to clean (unless you’re Monica Geller), but I have something to share with you that is so effective and easy to use that it might actually make you crack a smile while cleaning your house.

Imagine this- you can clean years of grease and grime off stainless steel, detail your car, clean your mirrors and screens without streaks, wipe down appliances, and clean your shower with one reusable product plus a little water. You’ll get NO streaking and ultra-shiny surfaces with NO chemicals. Sounds impossible, right? Except it’s not.

The Best Surface-Cleaning Cloth I've Ever Tried

It’s actually very possible to do all of that with a little thing called the Spiff Cloth (linked above), which my mom, niece, and I initially discovered at a craft fair. As were walking amongst the booths selling homemade decor and crafts, we heard people talking about this booth selling some sort of cloth and decided to check out what the hype was all about- how cool can a cleaning cloth actually be?

Very cool apparently. The nice lady running the Spiff Cloth booth demonstrated and explained how the product works and I thought, wow, it really works. She drew a bunch of crayon lines on different surfaces and cleaned them with the cloth- glass, a mirror, her own phone. She easily wiped away the wax with the Spiff Cloth that had only been dampened with regular water and, as the surfaces air dried, there were zero streaks.

As we were standing at the booth, a lady walked up to my mom to tell her how much she loved Spiff Cloths. Although the timing seems the teeniest bit suspicious in hindsight, she seemed so genuinely excited. I think she just wanted us to know that they actually worked and weren’t a scam- and luckily she was telling the truth.

Anyway, we were sold. About 5 minutes and $20 later, we walked away with a set of 4 Spiff Cloths. Later that night, we decided to try them out on what we thought would be the most challenging surface possible- the the gas range that was extremely greasy. And I mean seriously greasy- the grill below had done a number on the hood and back panel of the range.

The hood and backsplash are as shiny as can be now- without any kind of chemical cleaner! (A feat that we previously thought impossible.)

That’s the best part of the Spiff Cloth- you don’t need any chemical product to use it. You just dip it in water, wring it out so it’s damp but not dripping wet, wipe down whatever surface you’re cleaning, and then let it air dry. This is important- do NOT dry the surface with a paper towel or other cloth after cleaning with the Spiff Cloth. Air dry only.

It sounds so simple you almost feel like it’s a trick or one of those sketchy infomercials that come on TV at 3am- until you actually use it.

The key to the 16″ by 16″ cloth’s effectiveness, apparently, is the ultra-fine fibers that the fabric is made out of, which are 200 times thinner than human hair. They’re so fine that the cloth simultaneously cleans and polishes whatever surface you use it on without being abrasive. The fabric also doesn’t leave any lint behind as you clean, so the surface ends up looking truly spotless.

According to Spiff Cloth, their product will last you a minimum of three years. You just wash the cloths with your normal detergent or hand wash them with dish soap. Then let them air dry (so they don’t attract lint in the dryer).

So far, we’ve used Spiff Cloths on the stove and other appliances, vehicles, our phones, and more- and I can honestly say these cloths really work. No streaks, no chemicals- just bright, shiny, and clean surfaces.
