The weather is cooling down, the days are getting shorter, and if you listen closely you might actually be able to hear the trumpets of the NFL intro in the background- it’s football season! Whether you’re an avid fan glued to every play or more into the social aspect (and the delicious food!), you’ll need some yummy appetizers to snack on during all the upcoming games.
In this post, I’m listing 5 of my favorite football appetizers that are sure to be crowd-pleasers on your next game day- from a couple of my favorite pinwheel recipes to some Mexican-inspired snacks. The recipe for each appetizer is linked below, and all can also be found on the blog’s Kitchen page.
Now let’s get into some football food inspo!
5 Great Game Day Appetizer Recipes
1. The Easiest Dill Pickle Roll-Ups
2. Sweet and Spicy Pepper Pinwheels
Here’s another pinwheel recipe, but this time we’re adding a little bit of spice with some diced peppers. Jalapenos add some heat, but the key to these roll-ups is my homemade sweet and spicy pickled banana peppers.
3. My Favorite Mexican Street Corn Side (Or Dip!)
This is one of my favorite side dishes of all time- it’s just so good. Inspired by traditional Mexican street corn, this dish is fresh, sweet, and a little bit spicy. I also love serving it as a dip with some tortilla chips, as seen in the picture below.
4. Taco Wonton Cups
These taco cups are the perfect 2 to 3-bite snack. The crunchy wonton cups serve as the perfect mini bowls for all your favorite taco toppings, plus they’re very easy to whip up.
5. Taco Egg Rolls
Last, but certainly not least, are these super crunchy, cheesy, delicious taco egg rolls. Packed with seasoned ground beef and gooey cheese, they are the perfect taco-themed appetizer for game day (or any day).
