If you’re a fan of the show Friends, then you know that Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, and Ross each have their fair share of relationship highs and lows throughout the series. Here’s a list of some Valentine’s-themed episodes, along with some other episodes that I think are still appropriate to watch around the holiday.
Friends Episodes for Valentine's Day:
1. "The One With The Candy Hearts"
(Season 1, Episode 14)
Ross runs into his ex-wife, who is now with a new partner. Talk about awkward! Meanwhile, Rachel, Phoebe, and Monica burn mementos from their ex-boyfriends, which ends in a visit from some firefighters. Joey sets up Chandler with a familiar face, who is not exactly who he wanted to spend Valentine’s Day with- Janice!
2. "The One With The Prom Video"
(Season 2, Episode 14)
Monica struggles to tell her parents that she is now unemployed, and Joey gifts Chandler a less-than-beautiful bracelet. The gang watches old home videos, one of which is from Monica and Rachel’s prom. The line “he’s her lobster!” is born thanks to Phoebe.
3. "The One With Unagi"
(Season 6, Episode 17)
Chandler has to act quickly when he forgets to make Monica a Valentine’s Day gift, leading to him re-gifting her a mixtape Janice made for him. Ross tries to teach martial arts to Rachel and Phoebe, claiming that “Unagi” (which is a state of total awareness, not sushi according to Ross) is necessary.
4. "The One With The Birthing Video"
(Season 8, Episode 15)
It’s Valentine’s Day, and Ross has to tell Mona that Rachel is now living with him. Chandler and Monica’s holiday does not go as planned after they watch a birthing video. Joey tells Ross how he feels about Rachel.
5. "The One With Phoebe's Wedding"
(Season 10, Episode 12)
In this sweet episode, Phoebe marries Mike during a snowstorm outside Central Perk.
