It has been a very cold week here, like -35 degrees with wind chill type of cold. It’s also been snowing quite a bit, making the roads pretty slippery. Around Christmas, there was almost zero snow, which felt very weird. Now that we’re finally getting some, it’s starting to truly feel like winter to me! Given the weather, everything that I’ve been liking lately naturally deals with staying warm and entertained indoors. Going out in this weather is not exactly pleasant, although it is pretty!
P.S. Don’t worry- that’s an old picture of JJ (above) in the snow from a day that was not nearly as cold as it’s been around here. He’s been warm and cozy in his puppy bed this week!
Here's what I've been liking lately...
1. Skims Robe
This pink herringbone robe by Skims is an absolute dream! It’s extremely warm, which has been great this week. It’s also longer than I thought it would be. I’ve never had a robe that actually reaches my ankles, since I’m fairly tall. It has been my #1 go-to robe since I got it for Christmas!
I think the pink herringbone pattern was a special holiday edition of the robe. However, it looks like they still carry the unisex knit robe in other colors at other times of the year.
2. Knitting
I learned how to knit when I was a little girl (maybe 9 or 10?). I swear it’s something that you never forget how to do, like riding a bike. I haven’t had time to knit anything in quite a while, but this week I started a new project. In the spirit of the new year, I want to make time for hobbies, both new and old. I would also love to learn how to crochet!
3. Wizards of Waverly Place Reboot Details
In case you missed it, a Wizards of Waverly Place reboot is in the works at Disney. It will follow Justin, who is now married and has given up his powers, as he trains a young wizard to help save the wizarding world.
I used to watch the show when I was a kid, and it’s strange to think that it could be time for a reboot already. I am excited that David Henrie and Selena Gomez (who will make a guest appearance) will be returning to the series, and I will definitely be watching for nostalgia’s sake!
