Welcome back to Happy (or “Hoppy”) To Be Here! Today, we’re going to be getting into the Easter spirit, even though there’s still snow on the ground. If you’re ready to leave winter behind you, check out these 12 Easter movies!

1. Hop

This movie follows E.B., the teenage son of the Easter Bunny, who is expected to take over the family business of delivering eggs. However, E.B. has other plans! He runs away to Hollywood to pursue his dream of becoming a drummer.

2. Peter Rabbit

Based on Beatrix Potter’s characters, this movie follows the mischievous Peter Rabbit as he engages in a rivalry with Thomas McGregor. The nephew of old Mr. McGregor, Thomas inherited the cottage Peter and his friends call home and plans to sell it. Peter is not a big fan of the idea and engages in all kinds of shenanigans to protect his home.

3. Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway

In this sequel, Peter Rabbit and his friends venture into the big city. Of course, they get into all kinds of mischief.

4. Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade

If you’re a fan of Ice Age, then watch this Easter-themed adventure where Sid starts his own egg-sitting service.

5. The Dog Who Saved Easter

I’m sure many of you have seen Home Alone. Just switch out Kevin McCallister for a dog named Zeus and make the movie Easter-themed, and then you’ll have The Dog Who Saved Easter!

6. It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown!

This 1974 classic follows Charlie Brown, Linus, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang as they prepare for Easter.

7. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Although technically not Easter-themed, this movie does involve huge amounts of candy and the inner workings of a quirky chocolate factory. Seems appropriate to me!

8. Zootopia

This one’s not exactly about Easter either, but I still think it deserves a place on the list. Why? It follows Judy Hopps, a rabbit police officer who teams up with a sly fox to solve a mysterious case that affects all of Zootopia.

9. Rise of the Guardians

This film follows a group of iconic characters including Santa Claus, Jack Frost, the Tooth Fairy, Sandman, and… the Easter Bunny. Known as the Guardians, they must protect the dreams and imaginations of children from the Pitch Black, or the Boogeyman.

10. Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo

Travel back to the Hundred Acre Wood for an Easter adventure with Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Roo, and the gang. In this movie, Rabbit has canceled Easter and replaced it with “Spring Cleaning Day”. His friends are quite disappointed to be tidying up instead of celebrating the holiday (I wouldn’t be thrilled either, to be honest). Roo is especially disappointed, so his pals come up with a plan to remind Rabbit of the importance of the holiday.

11. Yogi the Easter Bear

When the Easter Bunny is kidnapped, Yogi and Boo Boo must save the day!

12. Easter Under Wraps

Looking for a little springtime romance? This one’s for you. In this Hallmark Channel Original Movie, a woman goes undercover at her family’s chocolate factory to figure out why sales are down. She ends up being charmed by the town and by the factory’s chocolatier, Bryan.

What are some of your favorite Easter movies?

I feel like there aren’t a ton of Easter-themed movies, at least when compared to the amount of Christmas movies there are out there. What Easter movies (or shows) do you watch that aren’t on this list? Let me know down below.
