What I'm Liking Lately 7.30.24 July Favorites

It’s been a while since I have sat down to write a “What I’m Liking Lately” post, but today I’m back with some of my July favorites. From the only sunscreen I use on my face to the side dish I can’t get enough of, here is a list of things I have been loving this month.

1. Kopari Body Milk

I am almost out of this lotion and 100% plan on repurchasing it. It’s lightweight but hydrating, making it perfect for applying to sun-kissed skin after a long day outside. The coconut scent is sweet and beachy and just yummy- I love it!

2. My Favorite Sunscreen

I know I’ve mentioned this moisturizer/sunscreen by Native in other posts, but I have to bring it up again here. The sun has been relentlessly hot this month, but my face has never burned because I am always wearing this sunscreen.

I know that this product is marketed as a moisturizer but it contains 20% zinc oxide, a mineral sunblock. This is the same percentage that is included in many of Native’s other sunscreens. I prefer this one because it feels more hydrating and there’s a bit less of a white cast.

3. Ninja 7-in-1 Grill & Smoker

My Ninja Woodfire 7-in-1 Grill and Smoker Review

We’ve been using this little guy quite a bit this summer. It’s so easy to set up, has a ton of different modes, and is very compact so it’s easy to store. One of my favorite things we’ve made using it is woodfire pizzas, which have a beautiful smoky flavor to them.

4. Elin Hilderbrand Books

I finally read my first Elin Hilderbrand book this month, and I really loved it. I picked 28 Summers as my first read from the famous queen of beach reads, and I went in unsure of whether I would like the whole “Same Time Next Year” premise. However, I ended up really enjoying it, mostly because I fell in love with Hilderbrand’s writing style. Her descriptions of Nantucket and all of the food in the novel were so well-done and painted quite a vivid picture. (Seriously, don’t read this with an empty stomach.)

Next up, I’m going to give The Hotel Nantucket a try.

5. Aerosoft Sandals

I’ve been wearing these sandals for probably 7 or 8 years and I can confidently say they are the comfiest flip-flops I have ever worn. The orthotic sole provides great arch support and will hold its shape for years. They’ve been especially great for gardening and doing projects outside this summer- I definitely have some harsh flip-flop tan lines going on right now.

6. My Favorite Mexican Street Corn Side (Or Dip!)

My Favorite Mexican Street Corn Side (or Dip) Recipe

This is THE side dish of summer for me. It’s sweet, a little spicy, fresh, and has a bit of that smoky grill flavor (as long as you let the corn char a bit). It’s the perfect side or dip for Taco Tuesday, but I would eat it any day any time. Check out the recipe here
